Children Well-being

We understand that it is the right of every child to have a happy and stable home environment, and the freedom and support to grow up to be the person God intended. In 1989, the United Nations General Assembly recognized the fundamental importance of children by voting the “Convention on the Rights of the Child.” In harmony with many of these lofty principles, and considering the value Jesus placed on children when He said, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these” (Matt 19:14) (more…)

We feel it necessary to clearly state our position in regards to marriage, the family, and human sexuality. These subjects are at the heart of many pressing issues facing society. That which for centuries has been considered to be basic Christian morality in the marriage setting is now increasingly called into question, not only in secular society but within Christian churches themselves. Is Tatooing Against God’s Law?

During my first years of ministerial life, in Santiago de Chile, when we used to go out at any time, day or night, to witness in the street and to “soul hunt”, as we used to say. We used to leave in groups of four, being two men and two women. In one of those days, we went to visit a factory and I seat down to talk to a tattooed young woman. I struck up a conversation with the tattooed woman who commented that she was surprised that I spoke to her, as hardly anyone ever did so. She believed that because of all her tattoos, traditional Christians stayed aside. Whenever they approached it was always to reproach, judging her for the tattoos she had in her body. (more…)

I Believe in Blessings!

Have you ever asked God for something over and over but felt as if He wasn’t listening? Have you ever settled for something “your way” because you didn’t believe God was going to bring you what you really wanted? I did, personally, but I have learnt something in my day by day walking with Him through the years: God longs to bless you if you ask and truly believe He will. James 4:2 says, “You have not… because you ask not.” If you never ask God for what you need or want, how can you expect Him to answer you? God promises over and over in the Scriptures to bless you, even beyond what you can imagine. In order for Him to fulfil that promise, however, you have to truly believe that He will. God’s promises may seem illogical and downright impossible at times. But for the Creator of the universe, nothing is impossible. (more…)

For you, my dear friend…

I have a friend who was in a horrifying accident. After that, she has been in a wheelchair and unable to do much of the things she used to do before. My friend was an active “bike Minister”, who spent most of her time, with her husband, witnessing in the middle of bike guys. However, she maintains a good attitude, though it must wear thin at times. Not being able to do the things she wants and needs to do grate on her nerves and with great reason. Most of the times she battles pain and tries to cope with daily activities that most of us take for granted. Why things like this do happens? In fact, there is no answer for that. (more…)
