Today’s “modern” society is in conflict over the Ten Commandments. Have they been “done away” by divine fiat or by mankind’s march toward scientific knowledge? Should they be displayed in public places, or reserved for the church? Are they a burden to “enlightened” people, or a blessing to those who obey them? King David said, “O how love I thy law!” and called it perfect; the Apostle Paul called it holy, just and good; Jesus honoured, magnified, obeyed, and commanded obedience to the Ten Commandments. But to most people, the Ten Commandments remain an enigma that has never been understood. Have you ever asked God for something over and over but felt as if He wasn’t listening? Have you ever settled for something “your way” because you didn’t believe God was going to bring you what you really wanted? I did, personally, but I have learnt something in my day by day walking with Him through the years: God longs to bless you if you ask and truly believe He will. James 4:2 says, “You have not… because you ask not.” If you never ask God for what you need or want, how can you expect Him to answer you? God promises over and over in the Scriptures to bless you, even beyond what you can imagine. In order for Him to fulfil that promise, however, you have to truly believe that He will. God’s promises may seem illogical and downright impossible at times. But for the Creator of the universe, nothing is impossible. (more…)

The biblical laws of sanitation were clearly ahead of their time! There was really no way to fully understand the reasons for these laws until the invention of the microscope, the discovery of bacteria and the pioneering work of pathologists in recent centuries, yet these ancient biblical laws have proven scientifically valid today!
